Rav Berg has said on many occasions, "As goes Israel so goes the World." The Zohar states that "Israel is the heart and the rest of the world corresponds to the organs of the body." In the same way the heart furnishes blood to the body, Israel furnishes Light to the rest of the world. When there is a lack of blood flow in the human body heart attacks can occur. Similarly, when there is a lack of Light in the body of the world, hatred, terrorist attacks and war occur.
As the Middle East peace process begins anew between Israel and Palestine, it is imperative that we inject Light into the region. The Rav and all the sages throughout history have taught us that the Zohar is the only source of Light that can transform chaos and bring peace to the world in a merciful way. To that end, The Kabbalah Centre is embarking on an effort to deliver 40,000 sets of Zohar to Israel immediately so that each one of us can give the Light and love that will protect us and nourish the nations of the world. The Zohar is clear about this - bringing the Light of the Zohar to the world is the very purpose of our existence. And when we share the Light of the Zohar with others we ourselves receive the Light of the Creator. It's a simple concept, but we still have trouble carrying it out.
We need to start now.
Inevitably, world peace will arrive. That is our destiny. How we arrive at that ultimate destination is totally up to us. The Zohar says that we have two paths - The Path of Torment or the Path of Pleasantness. Sharing Zohars, giving Light, and accepting our responsibility in the world is how we choose the Path of Pleasantness.
There are only a few precious opportunities when we can make a real difference in our lives and on a global level. This is one of them.
